Policies

To ensure the highest level of service, all event orders must be placed at least seven (7) days prior to the day of the event. All orders should be placed online at the University’s designated CaterTrax website https://lawrencecatering.catertrax.com. Please email your Catering Representative at LUCatering@afvusa.com with any questions.
Catering labor is included in the cost of an event for staff to set up, tend to the buffet and beverage station, and clean-up. Those events requiring additional wait staff will be charged $35.00 per hour per server for the duration of the event, which includes meal service to guests and beverage service. Please discuss your specific needs with your Catering Representative.
To ensure proper preparation for your event, please provide your guest count at least seven (7) days prior to the event date. If your numbers increase, we will make every effort to accommodate the additional guests.
Any cancellations 48 hours prior to the event date will incur a 50% charge of the event order total. Cancellations within 36 hours of the event date will incur a 75% charge of the total event order. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead of the event date may be subject to the full cost of the event total. All cancellations should be discussed with your Catering Representative.
Linen is included in the cost of all food buffets and beverage services tables. Any additional linen, or any orders that are a drop-off or a pick-up requesting linen will incur an additional charge. Our dedicated team can assist with linen selection, suggested table settings, and bar set-ups. Specialty linen is available on request for an additional charge. Please speak with your Catering Representative.
Any events outside of the Warch Campus Center building will default to disposable dinnerware, unless otherwise requested by the client. Please speak with your Catering Representative with questions.
An event setup assessment is determined by the location and type of event. Your catering representative will provide a full breakdown and confirm whether this assessment will be included in your final quote.
We understand the realities of food insecurity and the importance of reducing waste, and we share a commitment to supporting our campus community.
For safety reasons, Lawrence University’s catering services do not provide leftovers to guests or relocate uneaten food offsite. Leftovers can fall outside controlled time/temperature and sanitation conditions, which raises the risk of foodborne illness for associates and customers.
The charge for bar service depends on the bar package selected. Further information about packages is available in the beverage section of the menu. The bartender labor rate is $55.00 per bartender per hour with a 4-hour minimum (1 hour set up and 1 hour breakdown plus the hours of your event). Consumption of alcohol at events is limited to the event space. No alcohol is allowed outside of the event premises. Our certified bartenders reserve the right at any time to ask for a guest’s ID to validate the legal age to consume alcohol. No one under the legal drinking age will be served alcohol. ADC reserves the right to take any step necessary to ensure that no alcoholic beverages are served to minors. ADC and Lawrence University reserve the right to refuse service to those that are displaying inappropriate behavior and can request the removal of individuals from premises. Outside alcohol or external bar services are not permitted.
